Why An Arabian Horse?

From the classic tales of The Arabian Nights to the modern day adventures of Walter Farley’s Black Stallion, the Arabian horse and his relationship with man is legendary. Bred and reared in close contact with man from the earliest records, where the Bedouins actually raised them within their own tents, the Arabian horse has developed a keen brain and a close interdependence with man that is unparalleled.

Celebrated in thousands of anecdotes, he is known for his soundness of limb and ability to withstand hardships as well as being the horse of beauty, intelligence, courage, endurance, versatility and romance. He is gentle, affectionate and familiar, sometimes to the point of being troublesome and humorous. His sensitivity allows him not only to be responsive and playful but to commiserate with his owner as well. There’s nothing more rewarding after a miserable day, than going to the barn and having your Arabian horse hang his head over your shoulder as he utters a huge sigh of comfort and understanding, nor more heartwarming than a gentle familiar nudge as a plea for attention or a soft knicker of recognition.
